Night of a Thousand Dinners

A Night of a Thousand Dinners is a fundraising event held by The Pinnacle Foundation. The Foundation aims to provide educational scholarships, mentoring and opportunities for young LGBTIQ+ Australians to realise their full potential and overcome challenges arising from their identity. They were looking to revamp their annual event design.

This was a joint collaboration with fellow designer and friends James Mcrae (see his portfolio here).

Here’s a small look into what they previously had:


We started the design process by exploring different ideas and thought processes. With the initial designs being as such:

Option 2 was chosen and so from there, we developed the design across several assets for web and print including an information flyer, website landing page graphic, Facebook post graphics and more. We wanted to keep that yellow text the main highlight and really just incorporation subtle hints of the stars (being the obvious). Here are the outcomes.
